ASCEND YOUTH DEVELOPMENT

BUILD THE ATHLETE FROM THE FOUNDATION UP.

Great athletes are not built by rushing toward heavier weights or harder workouts.

They are developed by learning how to move, building strength progressively, developing confidence, and creating physical foundations that can grow with them.

ASCEND Youth Development provides structured, age-appropriate coaching designed to help young athletes become stronger, more coordinated, more confident, and better prepared for sport and life.

THE ASCEND APPROACH

TEACH MOVEMENT FIRST. BUILD STRENGTH SECOND.

Youth training should not simply be a scaled-down version of an adult workout.

ASCEND Youth Development focuses first on teaching young athletes how to control their bodies and understand foundational movement patterns.

Strength is then progressively developed on top of those skills.

SQUAT

Learn lower-body positioning, control, and stability.

HINGE

Develop proper hip mechanics and posterior-chain movement.

PUSH

Build upper-body strength through controlled pushing patterns.

PULL

Develop back strength, posture, and pulling mechanics.

CARRY

Build grip strength, trunk stability, coordination, and total-body control.

JUMP + LAND

Develop explosiveness while learning safe jumping and landing mechanics.

QUALITY OF MOVEMENT COMES BEFORE QUANTITY OF WEIGHT.

ATHLETIC DEVELOPMENT

STRENGTH IS ONLY ONE PIECE.

Young athletes need more than strength. ASCEND Youth Development combines foundational strength training with movement and athletic development to create more complete physical preparation.

STRENGTH

Develop foundational strength using age-appropriate resistance and progressive exercises.

MOVEMENT

Improve coordination, balance, stability, mobility, and body control.

ATHLETICISM

Develop acceleration, jumping, landing, change of direction, and overall movement capability.

CONFIDENCE

Help young athletes become more comfortable training, learning new skills, and challenging themselves.

PROGRESS WITH PURPOSE

LEARN. BUILD. PERFORM.

01

LEARN

Master the fundamentals.

Young athletes first learn proper movement patterns, exercise technique, body control, and training expectations. The emphasis is on quality, confidence, and understanding.

02

BUILD

Develop strength and capacity.

Once movement competency improves, resistance and training demands gradually increase. Athletes begin developing greater strength, stability, coordination, and work capacity.

03

PERFORM

Apply what has been built.

Athletes begin performing movements with greater confidence, intent, and athletic expression while continuing to reinforce strong fundamentals.
